Installing Fring On Iphone

I love fring.

So – I guess you wanna know how to install it on yer iPhone.

Well its really easy. First you need to unlock your iPhone (which I have blogged about here and here)

Now, launch the Installer application

Go to the Sources screen

Tap Edit (top right) then on next screen tap Add (top left)

In the Add Source window enter http://fring.com.iphone.xml and tap OK. You will then see the progress bar ‘Refreshing Sources’

When the Categories screen loads, scroll down list and tap ‘fring’

On the next screen, scroll to the fring category and click on it

Tap Install on the top right and then the red Install prompt

Tap Done in the top right

Once you turn off and on your iPhone, clicking on the app will prompt you to make a ‘test call’ where you speak for 10 seconds and if you can hear it back – it works.

Within the fring menu you can enter your Skype details which imports your Skype buddy list in.

There is also a new dialer…I love this…

Then the only thing you need to do is drag the fring icon into its rightful place on your main screen :)

    hey man,installed it successfully.now the problem is when i try to call someone,i crashes down and come back to springboard.

    and where the fuck is that 1.0 version???
    i found it only .978 which is prereleased one.
    hav 1.1.4 jailbroken frm zibri 3.0
    any help???

    Not being affiliated to Fring I couldn't guess at the issue you face but I my guess is your lack of wi-fi...

    downloaded fring, thanks, but when start it asks for user registration and new user details, give input but does not register, have jailbroken 1.1.4 Iphone, India, Edge, no wifi

    Hi Johnathan. I get one way voice... they can hear me but I can't hear them. Test call does not give me voice either.

    any ideas?

    Skype out works as well as S-S but same problem..1 way voice.

    i had installed fring earlier but deleted it by mistake - now its not letting me dwd the app again - i did the entire process detailed above and when i click on install package - it says"Package Download Failed"


    i have a jailbroken 1.1.4 iphone with wifi
