Mac Apps For Smooth Runnings

September 20 View Comments Category: Thoughts

Bought my 13″ Pro this morning and I am just installing the applications that allow me to be as productive as possible.

This is a list of the stuff I need to run things:

Firefox (with Firebug and Greasemonkey)

Zumodrive

Adobe CS4 Design Premium

Clear DNS

Cyberduck

Ecto

Jing

Tweetdeck

Mailplane

Office

Skitch

Skype

Spotify

Yousendit Express

That’s pretty much it – after all this is installed, everything in work mode runs smoothly. :)

Nothing is stored locally on the ‘puter – everything is in the cloud – accessible from anywhere (including my iPhone where I have the Zumodrive application too).

  1. interesting. I should try and make my own :)

Nice to see Mailplane getting some love, hard to explain how awesome it is to people though
a couple of favorites of mine are:
    - for firefox: immediately also install adblock (for speed's sake) and xmarks
    - instead of cyberduck -> expandrive (worth the couple of £/$/€)
    - evernote
