@twitgigs Experiment – Be There
–
The social media guru Rax Lakhani (the Head of Digital Communications at the Ministry of Justice), dropped me a line about the Twitgigs Experiment he is involved with – happening on Thursday 6th August.
Here is what he had to say:
The concept is pretty simple… we want to host an evening of live music and enhance the experience via Twitter. We’ve sourced the bands via Twitter and are only selling tickets to people that follow us @twitgigs.
The evening itself will be livestreamed on Twitter via uStream.tv and we’re creating a hashtag voting system for the audience to choose who wins the Battle of The Bands.
The experience will also have live Twitterfall projections projected around the venue with Tweet-stations positioned at various locations for the audience to interact with the bands on stage.
To top things off we’ll be having lots of Twitpic challenges where folk can win some cool prizes.
All details are available at www.tinyurl.com/twitgigs and tickets are being sold for £5.50.
The evening looks like it’s going to be fairly original and should be a must for all fans of Twitter and live music.

Um-missable.
I will be there – for sure.
