Raceview Texts = No Opt-out Spam

I may have recently made an error by booking an EasyJet flight and subsequently in a nightmare opt-out debacle but I sure as hell never signed up to text alerts from ‘Raceview’.

I received two yesterday – the first saying that Raceview would contact me later with a tip. The next (as seen above), recommending a horse in a race at Haydock.

You can’t reply to these texts and there is no instruction on opting out.

Doing a Google search doesn’t seem to help either.

I am now contacting O2 to see what they can do about it. I would also be very interested as to how my number became part of their database.

As it happens, High Heeled didn’t win but would have been a good each-way bet. If I were a betting man and could have placed an each-way bet by returning the text, then had my account credited automatically at the finish, that would have worked well.

But no.

Spam useless texts from Raceview: FAIL.

I keep getting these, I have be contacted about 7 times by text and then 3times by phone. The last time was about 5mins ago when I asked him to stop texting and calling me and that I don't bet. I then told him to bugger off which in my view isn't very rude and hung up. He then phoned back and told me not to be rude and that he knows my name and where I live and that he will come and burn my house down, I asked if that was a threat and he told me "No, I'm telling you what I'm going to do you little $hit" and hung up.

I just got the first text from them too. I'll ignore the actual tip then. Thanks!
By the way it would not have been a good each way bet as the horse was favourite and also dead-heated so you would have lost half your money.
