Sync Nokia N95 Calendar And Contacts With Google Apps

March 10 View Comments Category: Findings

I want my Google Apps Calendar and Contacts to sync with my Nokia N95.

Here’s how – first with calendar:

1. Go to GooSync and open a free account (follow the instructions to authorize GooSync for Google Apps access)

2. Select Tools menu from the Main N95 Menu.

3. Select Sync

4. Create a new Sync Profile

5. Give the Sync Profile a name – eg Google Calendar

6. Choose Application option from menu and pick Calendar

7. Change “Include in Sync” to Yes

8. Set Remote Database to “Calendar”

9. Under connection settings set host address to http://sync.goosync.com/

10. Enter your GooSync username and password

The same applies for contacts – although you need to choose the subscription version in GooSync – I chose the £19.95 one which is 1 year only because I am convinced I will be on Android by Christmas :)

That’s it. Easy.

    Thanks a lot!
  • That's SO weird... I was setting this up myself today on my Nokia N95 8GB. Then I dropped the bugger in the bath!

I used GooSync a lot in the past and now that I'm off Outlook for a bit, wanted to sync up my calendar to my phone.

    I love the easy set-up.
  • Firstly if you are only syncing a single calendar the free version of GooSync works just fine. Also contacts can be directly synced with Google now they have their SyncML stuff "working"

There are reports of some people being able to get their Nokia phones to sync calendar infor with Google directly using the iPhone SyncML settings. I haven't gotten this to work for me yet but as I have had a goosync pro account for sometime now I have no real need to change.
